Introduction
 

Thank you for visiting this site.  I would like to assist you as you continue to grow emotionally or resolve a situation that is causing you pain or discomfort.  Together, we can create a way for you to move forward.  In 2003 I graduated with a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California.  After completing a post doctoral training at State University of New York Oswego, I earned a license to practice psychology in the State of New York (2007). Later I earned a license to practice as a Senior Psychologist in North Carolina (2020). 

 

 
Publications
 

I am Emeritus Associate Professor, Department of Curriculum and Instruction at State University of New York at Oswego.  I conduct research in the fields of education and psychology.  In addition to edited chapters, I have written two award winning books titled Imaginal Figures in Everyday Life: Stories from the World between Matter and Mind, an exploration of the inner figures that want to make us wise, and The Mythmaker a novel which shows the healing power of psyche as we navigate through grief.

  • Psychologists, therapists and counselors have a range of credentials and licenses.  I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Specialization in Depth Psychology (2003) from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Carpinteria, California.

  • The Doctor of Philosophy is an academic degree earned in four to seven years beyond the masters degree.  A Ph.D. in psychology emphasizes theory as well as statistics and data gathering. Psychologists with a Ph.D. are also fully trained in assessment and treatment of all behavioral conditions (American Psychological Association).

  • In addition to earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, to become a New York licensed psychologists I passed a rigorous examination and completed over 3,000 hours of  clinical work experience.
